Looking for a daycare near Garland, TX? Launchpad Learning Center is a ministry of Lavon Drive Baptist Church, which has faithfully served the Garland, TX community since 1961. As a fully licensed and state-regulated Christian childcare center, Launchpad exists to provide families with the peace of mind that their children—ranging from infants as young as 8 weeks through 6th grade—are safe, nurtured, and growing in a Christ-centered environment.
Our caring and qualified teachers are dedicated to offering high-quality preschool, daycare, and after-school programs that combine academic readiness with spiritual growth. At Launchpad Learning Center, you’ll find a secure, welcoming place where children are loved, protected, and encouraged to thrive.
Your child’s health and safety are our priority. Our campus has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in security measures, from cameras in the classrooms and parking lot, to fobbed entrances that are always locked, security guard on campus and more!

Here at Launchpad, we know that your child’s safety and development is your number one priority, because that’s our priority as well! That’s why our staff is fully trained in Adult and Child CPR and First Aid. We have a fully secured facility with fobbed entrances from the outside. We will also continue to be closely following the CDC recommendations for Covid-19 safety measures, and adapt as their recommendations change. We are passionate about seeing kids grow and learn, and about providing the peace of mind their family needs in a daycare or after school program. DIRECTOR
Jordan Zirpel
Jordan Zirpel was born and raised in North Carolina, but got to Texas as soon as she could! She has three children of her own, and is married to the love of her life, Kevin. In 2021, Jordan moved to DFW to gain a fresh start. While job-searching, she came across Launchpad Learning Center and fell in love with their mission. Since then, she has had the privilege to teach and care for children from our infant room all the way up to our K-3 classroom. In early 2024, Jordan moved into the Director position and is overjoyed to continue to serve at Launchpad in a Leadership role. Jordan is most passionate about showing the love of Jesus to her students and parents in every way possible!

Our team has a teacher-led and character-building philosophy that comes from the biblical foundation—Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go.” We are grateful to have such a loving team here at Launchpad who provide a warm, welcoming environment in which students take their first steps toward group education and socialization.
